I posted a few weeks back that my Farmall B that hadn't been cranked in 10 years was not running very well. I have since rebuilt the carburetor, changed the battery, put on new cables and was ready to fire it back up. It had been starting every time. I acccidently left the key on for about 4 hours but I've changed the battery since this incident. The lights come on but when I go to start it, it will not make a sound. I thought maybe the starter had locked up, so I took it off and had it rebuilt. Now after placing it back on, I still get absolutely no sound whatsoever. Right before it started the last time (before the starter rebuild) It made a brief whining noise. Is there anything else that would keep it from trying to start? This is a late forties model Farmall B. Thanks for any advice, I am pretty frustrated.
