I did the test pieces. The 58 460 I'm working on actually came from the factory with IH 201 -- My PPG dealer's computer did not show any listing for that, so I settled on a 2150 equivalent. IH began using 2150 in 1961 when the 60 series was still in production. Case-IH 2150 does have an orange tint to it to my eyes, there will be those who say it doesn't. I had the dealer "digitally" photograph the 2150 sprayout, his camera or scanner or whatever PPG calls it did not even get close. So, as you did I juggled the toner ratios. I'm guessing that a 20 gram switch would be better than the 10 I used (my first try), but I looked at my test pieces in full sun, and really could not tell the difference from 2150, depending on how the light hit them -- it will have an orange tint to it, but to my eyes that is normal. It will not be nearly as orange as my last tractor, the mixer simply messed up. A 40 gram switch will be way too red, IMO. Problem is, there aren't any original tractors left, and I simply do not remember how dark the red was, although I drove an H (both original and repainted) for 10 years before I left home. I had a gallon mixed after I used up the pint, there is no difference that I can see -- the dealer was careful to get it the same. I did have one mix from the camera that could not be mixed in the pint size -- It was waaay off -- I have no confidence in the cameras ability to match colors, PPG only says it can do 80%, that really isn't very good. I would like to actually see your tractor, if you were 1000 miles closer.
