Red Dave: I have a 1948 SA that I'm just getting started on. The SN on the data plate under the seat indicates it's a 1948 and some of the casting numbers that I have found match that year. But I too cannot find a SN stamped on the engine. Does this mean that this tractor probably a replacement engine and if so how can I find the year it was manufactured? Thanks, bk
