Dog, I have absolutely no specs or data whatsoever, but can offer an engineering educated guess. HOWEVER if Bob M or ElToro or Janic have data to the contrary, you better believe them over me. I'm knee deep in theory and give Seminars at the national John Deere Shows and used to write technical articles for The Green Magazine but havent owned Farmalls in yearsssssssss. My best guess is that resistor would be in the range of 2.5 to 3.2 ohms, probably wirewound, and of course, must be a power rated unit. My assumptions are for a field to draw 2 amps at 6 volts, it would be around 3 ohms resistance Soooooooo an aditional 3 ohms in series would cut the field current in half. Another thing is those off the shelf generic power resisitors dont come in every ohms, so try whats available n see the resultant charge rate, so go from there, maybe start around 2.5 ohms n see what happens. Thats the best I have for ya best wishes n God Bless John T

I've already drilled the center of the bolt out with about 7/64" drill bit the entire length of the bolt. Only one end of the bolt is visible. I tried to use an easy out but it wasn't budging and I didn't want t
