Whatever you do, DON't use gasoline as one below suggested!! Here's my sequence. Scrape off all you can by hand and with a scraper blade and wire brush. Then use a pressure washer which won't get it all. You might want to reverse the above and use the pressure washer first. Next get some Purple Power or similar degreaser from AutoZone or Walmart. Use a spray bottle to apply. You may want to use a respirator, as the mist from this stuff is pretty rough. Let is soak for a time and use the pressure washer again. Then you can clean up any stuff left by hand with the degreaser, a stiff brush and just a water hose. Needless to say, cover engine openings and your ignition stuff to avoid getting water in them.
