H bearing noise?

I picked up a 1945 H that I hear a noise at an idle from underneath the tractor. Once you put it in gear and move the tractor the sound increases. The previous owner said he thinks it is rubber bushings damaged or missing in the drive line. Do not know if this is common with the H's. Any ideas, suggestions or advice.
