Unless you are a good welder I dont recomend it. Way to easy to make a mistake and mess up the block. I tried on my 706 and was not happy. Put 3 beads along the inside and could put hand in and it still felt cold. Block is a big heat sump. put the 4th bead down and cut though the sleeve rod stuck to the top of the sleeve and tapped the top of the block as I wiggled it off. After that some thing got hot but it was not the sleeve. Amazine how much the price of those elctrodes has went up since the last time I had to buy one :-) Took a bit of work for me to fix that mess. Then again I have watched some one who knows what they are doing do it. He was in and had the sleeve out lickity split. I guess I need practice.
