I am having a hard time putting my throttle linkage back together. Fact is, I"m stuck. If anyone happens to have the side plates off that close in the dash, or could pull one on the right side without much trouble, could you take a quick look for me? Here"s my problem . . . On the end of the long rod that extends down from the throttle handle on the dash, there is a bracket in the shape of a right angle. One end of the bracket connects to a link that after a bunch of other stuff connects to the long rod that runs along the engine up to the governor. On that bracket there is also a post on which there is a crescent shaped piece that can pivot. The crescent piece has a spring attached to the other end of it. WHERE DOES THE OTHER END OF THAT SPRING ATTACH? Does the spring stretch straight back toward the driver seat and attach to another bracket in line with it? NOW THE BIG QUESTION: Where does that bracket on the other end of the spring attach to? I have the piece the spring attaches to, but I can"t recall where it bolts to. Does it bolt to the 3/4 hex head bolt going into the steering housing? I"ve got a parts manual, but it is no help at all. I"m having such a hard time trying to get the spring on, I"m wondering if I have that bracket piece in the wrong place. Unfortunately it"s been apart for a year so I can"t remember a thing of how it came apart. I"m sure my description is about as clear as mud, but any descriptions anyone could provide about that spring and where it"s ends are connected may save the day. Thanks alot. Paul

Sadly though all his efforts seemed to be a waste of time and money as he still couldn''t get the temperamental old thing to run correctly!! If i said that this was a little frustrating for him that would be "conservative" in fact the problem had reduce
