When it dies you need to check to see if you still have spark, don't wait 5 minutes to do this but right after it dies. If it has a god blue spark then you porbably have a problem in the carb or the fuel line/tank. If it has spark then pull the drian plug out of the carb to make sure you have a good flow of gas. If you don't then you have a clog or a stuck float/needle. If you have a good flow then you may still have a stuck float or bad float and its flooding.
