You may have spark at the coil wire which is good, but you need to check for fire at the sparkplugs. Pull one of your plug wires off and have someone attempt to start engine. Be sure you reconnect the coil wire back on the cap. If there's no fire at the plugs you probably need a set of points and condenser. If you have fire at the plugs your plugs may be wet from flooding. You should bring No1 piston up on the compression stroke to TDC. Hold your thumb over No1 plug hole while someone slowly cranks over the engine until you feel pressure against your thumb. Then look for the notch on the damper pulley. Align that notch with the pointer. Then remove the distributor cap and look to see where the rotor is pointing. This is very important. The woodruff key may have sheared on your distributor drive.
