If it is a 12 volt conversion, I'm assuming that you have already checked the resistor in the primary wire to the coil. To eliminate wiring problems ahead of the coil, use a length of 2 conductor wire[ lamp cord is ok] with a voltmeter on one end & 2 aligator clips on the other. Maintaining correct polarity, connect the aligator clips - one to the "hot"[ignition switch] terminal on the coil,& the other to a convenient ground. Take the meter back to the operator's station & see what the voltage reads while cranking, running[ or stalling] & see if you have problems in this area. I fought a brand new condenser on my 73 IH pickup one day for 3 hours. Turned out it was a bad brand new one. Might want to flex all terminations[ terminal ends] where they connect to coil, ign. switch, or even in the distributor. Had a bad wire once where it went through the distributor housing- it was intermittent & very annoying & hard to find.

Originally the company was called the Cleveland Motor Plow Company which began in 1912, then the Cleveland Tractor Company (1917) and finally Cletrac.
