In the 1950s, on the farm in Missouri, all our baling was custom, as we did not have a baler. One of the people that did our baling had an IH PTO baler and a Super C. So yes, it is possible. However, my recollection is that it was all that Super C needed in low gear to run the baler and the governor was surging with each stroke of the baler. I suppose the baler was either a 45 or 46 McCormick, but I don't know for sure about that. It was not too long that we switched to a person that had a JD baler and a WD-45 AC tractor. The WD-45 had live PTO and double the HP of the super c. Took half as long to do the same baling job.
