With all the great advice in this forum from other country folk I'm taking a little liberty and stretching topics. We live in an area of artesion wells. Ours is 95' deep and has been flowing for 53 years. We run it into a tank and pump from that. The overflow runs into a nearby creek. The water is "hard", but cool and good. It does have a distinct smell. Not sulpher, but kind of the old drain type smell. Does anyone else have a similar system ? Does anyone treat the water in the tank in a way to keep the rust down and keep the water fresh ? If so what do ya'll do ? I promise to talk tractors after this !
