If your tractor starts the coil is ok. If it doesn't start or you think you have a weak coil
pull the coil wire from distributor cap and hold it within 1/8-1/4" of a good ground on the tractor frame. Have someone attempt to start engine with the ignition switch on while you hold the coil wire. Use a pair of insulated pliers
so you don't get bitten. You should have a hot blue spark.

Your throttle linkage should be connected to your governor. Check your linkage for any binding.
