quick fix wisconsn

hello, i was wondering if anyone knew if a wisconsin VF4 could get started if i just put the gas tank higher then the carb. because i dont have much time to order a fuel pump. i know the farmall M works without a fuel pump, so if anyone knew if i held the tank higher then the carb if that would work
