It is easy to miss, Small hole, large flywheel and crud. One method is removing spark plugs 2,3,4 and turn engine with crank until compression is felt. Then continue until the dowl pin in the end of crankshaft is horizontal. If mag is properly timed and lever retarded you should hear click as DC is in view. Cleaning flywheel may be necessary.
