I have to agree Greg_Ky. If it was just the engine and nothing else, the slowest mechanic in the world at $80.00 an hour couldn"t have possibly made it cost more than $2500.00 for the most rebuilt Cub engine in the world unless he had his parts made out of some other exotic metal. But like others said, if you get into mags., carbs., radiator bolsters, clutches, etc. etc. it could add up quick and the 3400+ could be achieved.
