The M&W governor was designed to give quicker response when encountering a hard spot while plowing etc. If your tractor is a pulling tractor, you have a different set of circumstances taking place. A pulling tractor, when hooked to the sled, very seldom encounters a "hard spot" that it has to overcome. Instead you are dealing with a steadily increasing load, and the stock governor has plenty of time to deal with that load and respond accordingly. So, the answer is no, an M&W or Rocket governor will not make that much difference. You will be much better off to "tweak" the stock governor.
