It has a wooden pitman with a cast iron clamp with springs in it that clamp over a ball on the end of the sickle bar. And the other end has a flat steel blade bolted in the middle of it and hooks to an offset on a pulley driven with a belt from the PTO driven pulley above. The only marks I could find on it are: IH over M-2571 on the upper, larger, drive shaft driven pulley. Don Mountain
