Hi Paul, My late mother had a problem with her well water about 25 years ago. They noticed a problem with their skin itching and burning. She had the water tested and it contained benezene. She told the neighbors and they had their water tested too. All the wells tested for benzene. There were so many wells contaminated that they ran public water and sewage along the main road. Any homeowner could be hooked up, but the homeowner had to pay for having the water and sewage connected to their homes if they wanted it. My mom was the first to hookup. Just last year they had had a problem with wells in my county. The home owners were complaining of the water taste and they started doing water testing. This is in a big subdivision that have homes costing $1,000,00.00 and when the test results came back it was an additive in gasoline. I forget the name they only used letters I think it MSTB not sure if that's the right spelling. An Exon station in the area was the culprit and Exon closed the station. I haven't seen much about this lately and I'm sure a lawsuit isn't far away since most of those homeowners are lawyers and doctors. Exon is furnishing bottled water to all homes. My wife told me once about what her granddad said about 65 years ago. He said if we didn't take care of the earth we may be drinking our own urine some day. Hal
