The instructions that come with IH pistons and sleeves say to fast idle (3/4 rated rpm), no load until it comes up to operating temperature. Check everything. The next 1/2 hour should be at rated rpm with 1/4 full load. Followed by 1/2 an hour at rated rpm and 1/2 load, 1/2 an hour at 3/4 load, and an hour at full rated load. After that retorque the head and adjust the valves. Avoid over-load, excessive idling, and no load operation for the first 100 hours.
