replacing magneto

What is the best way for me to tell if I should replace or rebuild my magneto. I'm about to replace the coil, points, & rotor on my H4 magneto, and I'm wondering with the age of the current unit if it wouldn't be wise to just replace it with a rebuilt unit since I plan to continue to work this machine for a long time. K
