Tim, I replaced the seal on the differential lock shaft over the week-end. You push back the metal sleeve surrounding the shaft and block it in place with a dowel, piece of wood, bolt etc. Remove the snap ring on shaft and then the dowel. The sleeve will come off. There's an o-ring on sleeve. That's the only seal for my differential lock. I screwed up the snap ring on mine so I've got to get another one. I'm not sure if you can remove the diffential housing, slide it over the shaft and replace the other gasket and seal or not. Hope this helps.
