Did get it going after I followed a wiring diagram for the tractor. Turns out that the previous owner had the battery cables connected backwards. The + was going to the starter and the - was going to ground. I got it running now and everything seems to work except for the generator. After I rewired the generator to the specs of the diagram it does not charge at all. I took the cover off the voltage regulator and found the points were never going together. Is this why it is not charging? I have verified that the generator is putting out voltage, but its not getting through the voltage regulator. I think I may have a bad unit. Thanks
