I had to make a short brake spoon from flat stock to fit between the spring and the wheel on the top adjusters. found all 4 rear adjusters stuck. I took the rear drums off one at a time and freed the adjusters and the shoes had plenty of life left. It look like someone re shoed the back brakes and never ran the adjusters out. The rear wheel cylindes I could hear but took many pumps to get any pedal. Well, I ran the adjusters out till they stopped the drum turning then backed them off about 1 turn. I also adjusted the fronts which are 5/8 cap screws. No cylinders or master cyl is leaking at all. I got pedal now if I pump 3-4 times now. Brakes are still quite insufficient to stop this truck and they stick till you get going again. The brake booster vacum is strong at idle and the return line only sucks air if the brakes are pushed making me think the booster diapram is OK. What would you recommend next, I need to get these brakes at least half way beacuse I have a man with a CAT 955 loader coming to demolish a house Saturday and I need this truck to haul it off. thanks!!!!!!!!!
