Nat2 has a point about mismatched batteries! All batteries in a system such as yours should be the same size, brand, model, capacity, and age to be ideal. Parallel connections can tollerate way more mismatch than series batteries because all the power must go through every battery in series. While in a parallel system if the batteries are not sulphated (shorted) they just add to one another's capacity. Two batteries of high crank capacity have more lead in them than three batteries (less required room for case material. Six volt batteries tend to be "on the shelf" longer than high turnover 12v batteries. Thus they may be aged prior to purchase! I stand by this info. Good luck JimN
