The cub has the hydraulic oil pump mounted on the front left side (sitting in Drivers Seat) and runs off the same gear the drives the cam. If the seal on the front of the pump were to go out it would squirt hydraulic oil into the crankcase. This is the only point that the hydraulics come into contact with the motor oil, SO the hydr. pump will need to be rebuilt. also the hydraulic oil should be either hydraulic fluid or Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF) not motor oil.
