66/68 The V8 needs all the air it can get. Having said that, some guys thought they need the air clearner out the top of the hood, bad bad. When IH came with the baffle in front of the radiator it would take out 90% or more of the dirt if it is sealed good along the side and top. As far as service make sure the air cleaner indecator is working and use it when the indicator says dirty replace it. Never clean a dry paper filter, change it. Never lug the V8 and yse change the oil about every 100 hours.
