706 Hydraulics Question

[ Expand ] [ View Replies ] [ Add a Reply ] [ Return to Forum ]

Posted by Steve KS on March 23, 2006 at 21:47:44 from (67.72.98.45):

Here"s the situation. I"m trying to figure out how to tie in to the hydraulics to run a loader. If possible, I want to run it independently of the single rear remote. The tractor is a "63 model with the high output pump. Are the ports on the right side of the valve body (under the seat) always under pressure? I believe one of them is a pressure relief valve? I was hoping to tap into them to supply a valve for the loader. Someone told me the loader valve would have a pressure relief built in, so I wouldn"t need the one on the main valve. Is that the case?

Or here"s another option. I"ve got the side remotes, but only one handle, which runs the rear remote. I finally got around to taking the seat off to see what"s going on in there. It looks to me like there may have been another handle to the right of the other at one time and had been broken off - not sure though. It appears as that handle would run the remotes on the right side of the tractor, is that the case? I do know the left side remotes are controlled by the same lever as the rear remotes. It looks like the handle has been broken for some time b/c that side of the valve (the left side) is pretty well rusted and doesn"t want to budge. Will it be possible to free that side, or should I start looking in salvage yards for a whole other valve body?

Or if there"s a simpler option I would love to hear about it! Sorry for all of the questions, I"m pretty much a dummy about hydraulics; all I know is what people have told me.
