IH did use a LOT of 9.5L & 11L x 15 tires/wheels during the 66-series but never on the 86 series. Yes, a few 886's & 986 snuck out with 9.5L's. Those were all 6-bolt wheels however. And the hubs & wheels had different back spacing and probably could be mounted either way, in or out. The 16" however could not. I personally like the 9.5L & 11L 15's.... depending on rear tire size the old girls either sit level or slightly nose Down!
