A friend of mine has a Farmall H. He went away for a week and when he returned some of his hired help drove the tractor and got it stuck in 2nd? gear. He said that they can move the shifter lever to all of the gears but it still wants to go forward when letting the clutch out. My ? is can the problem be fixed by taking the shifter out of the cover or do I have to take the top cover off. Also is this due to a bent shifter fork or is it just loose and the fork slipped off of the gear. Thanks guys, I never had this happen before but I guess it happened a few times on this particular tractor. Brad
