well I think I will need to explain myself a bit better. My H has a near new 12 volt battery on it. As for the generator I already have the origional six volt gen. My op manual shows a gen with the regulator mounted on it and one with it mounted else were on the tractor. My generator has the regulator mounted on the gen. At this point I'm trying to come up with the cheapest quickest way to get this tractor out spraying some weeds and charging. Seems like somewere I read that these old gen and starters are heavy enough to handle 12 volts if something is changed in the regulator. I thought this would be a cheap way to get the battery charging rather then spend the money to get a 12 volt alternator and rewire the tractor for it.
