They made a 15-30 and a 22-36. Our neighbor had a 15-30 and he only used for belt work. He had had a threshing machine and did custom threshing before many farmers had combines. It had solid rubber tires for driving it on the county roads and towing the thresher. It would spin in a field that had an incline. They just used another tractor to tow to it where they set up. I follow that thresher when I was a teen and they fed you like a king. They paid pretty good too for that period of time. In 1950 they had the thresher set near this barn to blow the straw into the straw mow. The straw struck a lit light bulb and set the mow on fire. The owner of the 15-30 jumped off the thresher and onto the 15-30 and tried to pull the thresher from the barn using the flat belt. It would just spin without any tread and the thresher was lost.
