You can look up the year of manufacture for your tractor in the "Serial Numbers" link on the left of this page. 48641 is a 1953, and a late 1953 at that. You can trust this site. If the site says that the carburetor is for a Super M, then it is for a Super M. If there are no "for serial numbers after XXXXX," then there are no special serial number breaks. Besides, there was only ever one carburetor made for the Super M.
