Derrick - Give Carter & Gruenenwald a call (punch below...) They should be able to send you with a new ring gear at a reasonable cost. Often you can remove a worn ring gear, turn it around and rotate it 1/4 turn, then put it back to get more service out of it. However you still gotta go thru all the work of of splitting the tractor to do it. And for around $50 you can install a brand new ring gear - it'll be $$$ well spent. (Also install new clutch disk, pilot and throwout bearings while you have the tractor split - it will never be easier.) Another tip: Replace the starter drive (bendix) when you replace the ring gear!
