I think the engine holds 6 qt. You open the top pitcock on the left side the oil pan & fill til oil comes out there. The two plugs, one next to the shifter and the other over the PTO are actually the same cavity. The one over the PTO just prelubes those gears when you change the oil in the tranny. There is a plug on the left side the transmission case, partly hidden by the brake rod. Fill the tranny til oil comes out there. I use regular 90 wt.
