Firecrater piston questions

We are overhauling one of our H tractors and our machine shop supplied the engine parts. He ordered Clevite liner kits and when they arrived, they had firecrater pistons.

I have read that modifications to the spark advance and rejetting the carb is sometimes recommended with firecraters.

This is our raking and tedding tractor and I just want it to run reliably. It has an H-4 mag and the spark advance modifications I have read about appear to be for distributor equipped tractors.

What should I do, if anything?

Any help will be appreciated.
