I've talked around this topic a little in the past, but never got any definitive direction. It's about commitment time on the rear tires of my 1941 Farmall B project. Got the engine done, about wrapped up on the rear final drive/axle seals, just some odds and ends left and body/paint. This tractor still has the original matched set of old-style Firestone Field and Road's on the back, with the closed center pattern. Great tread left, but normal weathering and cracking. I know I might be able to help the small cracks and the cosmetics with Miller's tire paint. However, both tires have a few small chunks out of the sidewalls, and they seem to be pretty brittle. Is there a way to restore/refurbish these so I can keep the original look? Does anyone revulcanize or "redip" their tires? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks DJL
