Lots of old mowers will work. If you are not afraid of green, we have used old JD #5's and newer models on our Farmalls for years. The trick is to get or make the hitch plate that bolts to the drawbar. Any old hydraulic cylinder, single or 2 way will raise a mower. The pto shafts are all more or less the same, maybe a length problem but nothing that can't be fixed.

The same type of hitch will work on C's if you bolt a regular dwarbar to the tractor. There was a pulley and cable arrangement to lift the JD mowers with a C that used the touch control unit.
