From reading the posts on the board it appears that oil getting past the worn o-ring on the C's pump drive is common. I've been "making" engine oil for the past few times I used the C to mow with so I figured it was time to get a pump kit and do the job. I figured as soon as I repaired the Touch Control unit so it didn't leak this would be the next item. Had the local Case IH dealer order the seal kit they took the number off of the old pump and it looks like the right o-Rings etc are there. But there are also some parts that are not in the original pump. I know it is not unusual to have parts for sevral applications in one kit but I wasn't sure. I have the Blue ribbon touch control service manual but the pump diagram is limited. Any advice from those who have already went down this road? Is it difficult to get the pump shaft through the new o-ring without damage?
