Oof! What a mess. I think I"d be tempted to torch the whole thing
out and install heavy wall tubing, like the "good" side has. It
looks to me like the good side has already been repaired like
that, and the bad side is the original, but that"s just my opinion.
Maybe even make a bushing to fit inside of it. It looks kind of
"yuckled out", or you could just make a bushing to replace the
one that fell out. However I have a lathe and can make whatever I
need for a bushing.
