The 240s were built 1958-62. The loader with 1" thick plate construction may be an IH No. 50. As for the hydraulics, do you have a separate pump mounted to the front of the tractor or is it using the tractor hydraulics? Does it have power steering? The hydraulic pump mounted on the engine doesn't have the capacity to efficiently operate the power steering, hitch and loader. The reservoir for the tractor hydraulics is in the clutch housing. The fill plug is about 1-1/4" hex on the top of the clutch housing. Value is dependent on what two fools can agree on. A restored 240U with loader could range from about $2000-4000. I have a 240U with a No. 50 loader. If yo have more questions kmokgm@a-m-u.net K-Mo
