In the grand scheme of the 300,000+ Farmall Hs built from 1939 through 1953, a 1939 is "rare," but not rare like a Mickey Mantle rookie card or anything like that. It's an interesting find, a conversation piece, something to brag about, but not worth its weight in gold, if that's what you're looking for. I wouldn't may much extra for a '39 in average condition over any other year. Personally, I would like a '39 and one of the last '53s, painted up, with the right decals, so you could sit them side by side and see how the tractor evolved over 14 years of production.
