The IT manual is a repair manual, and a brief one at that. You need the operators, parts and service manuals from Binder Books. Will set you back around $150 to get all of them. At a minimum get an operator's manual. It will answer all your maintenance questions. 15W-40 oil from a major manufacturer will be fine. Premium gas? I don't think so. Compression ratio is 7.2:1, unless it has been modified. 87-88 octane should be good for something over 8:1. Perhaps if you are running it hard all day every day, I doubt if you plan on doing that. The gear was an option, as the standard 3rd gear is a little fast, no idea how many were equipped that way.
