I'd do a little checking on the per acre profit of alfalfa and sweet corn. They lead the list here in SD. Throw in some orchard or timothy grass and you have the high dollar dairy quality hay.Isn't there a good market for that in your area?
Could you get an average of 4 tons per acre for 5 years on one alfalfa planting? Gordo
