H generator?

Hello all,
I have a generator supposedly taken off an H.
Stamped on the gen is - 1701355. This is a 2 wire, 3 brush unit.
When running the tractor, the generator puts out positive voltage. The tractor is wired positive ground.
Is there a method to polarize this thing? OR - is this the correct generator in the first place?
Any help is appreciated.
