further 656 wiring issues

firstly thanks to darrel for sending me the wiring diagrams for the 656.
having decifered them to the best of my ability the tractors now attempting to start on the push switch but as soon as it is released it dies.
the only part of the wiring that i can see that i may have missed is point 54 in the diagram "cable- solonoid switch "R" terminal to multiple connector - white with orange and purple cross tracers"
can anyone hazard a guess as to whats wrong or indeed what point 54 means?
