That sir is a M&W override clutch. I could be disengaged to allow a farmall to have "live" pto and hydraulics. You still had to use the foot "stock" clutch to shift gears though. It was a very nice add on when trying to bale really thick hay with a tractor that has to tall of a 1st gear. Maybe some one else can tell you more about it.
