I would have to assume that a "carbonation" gauge was used by a beer or winemaking industry, or perhaps when "cooking" grain for a still. Probably measured pressure produced by the ferment. This is all just a guess, but you definately want to replace it with an oil pressure gauge. Sounds like someone had that gauge laying around, and decided to stick it on the tractor. Might even work to some degree, but probably ain"t no where near accurate.
