Hello, I just picked up a couple of WD9's over the last two weekends. One is supposed to be a '51 model and the serial number is WD9-WDCB58228W12B. The other is supposed to be a '48 model and the serial number for that one is WD9-WDCB35222W12B. Strange thing is the '48 model has disk brakes? The tranny casting number is 359844-R1. The tranny casting number for the '51 model is 8866-DE. Is it possible that I have a SWD-9 rear half on the '48 model? Maybe a 600 or a 650 rear? The '48 also has 4 spoke steering wheel while the '51 has a 3 spoke wheel. I can't read the serial numbers on the engine yet I need to pull a couple of injector lines but, the engines have visibly different heads on them also. The '48 model has a head stamped 8101DM and L6 27B The '51 model has a head stamped 278292R2 and 9 22m and it has three small plates about 2x3 inches with four bolts each between the injectors. It also has a large pipe thread hole (1" I think) in the front left corner of the head. It is plumbed with pipe to a smaller pipe thread hole (3/4 I think) on the top left rear corner. Can anyone tell me what I have? Thanks in advance, Mark
